I joined Blueprint’s San Francisco team in June of 2018 after receiving my B.A. in the Biological Sciences from Cornell University. While at Cornell, I worked in a diagnostic Veterinary Coagulation laboratory and a research-focused biochemistry laboratory. I was also trained as a peer counselor through the Empathy, Assistance, and Referral Service (EARS). I am hoping to pursue a degree in genetic counseling within the next few years, and eventually a career within the field that will combine both my background in science and my passion for empathetic communication which I developed while counseling in EARS.
In my current role as a Client Services Specialist, I am the point of contact for Canadian customers within the Client Services Team. I love that I am able to speak with genetic counselors every day – some of whom work at Blueprint and others who are Blueprint clients – but the best part of my job is working with the other members of the Client Services Team. The whole team is motivated, enthusiastically supportive, and endlessly kind, and I am glad to be a part of it.
