I joined the Blueprint Genetics team in June 2018. In 2018, I graduated from the University of Redlands with a B.A. in Biology, and minors in psychology and chemistry. During my senior year, I took a genomics course which piqued my interest in the field of genetics and the potential that genetic diagnostics has for the prevention and diagnosis of many disorders. Specifically, I researched genetic links to Autism that have been identified and wrote academic reviews on existing research regarding this topic.
I started working as a Lab Associate at Blueprint Genetics. In this role, I was heavily involved in production services; seeing the order from start to finish. In the lab during the day, I worked with every North American order that Blueprint receives. This process utilized my strengths of problem solving, innovation, and attention to detail. Currently, I work as a client services specialist. The best part about my job at Blueprint is that I am able to contribute to developing processes which enable our company to operate sustainably and efficiently.
Working at a company like Blueprint has given me the opportunity share my ideas and collaborate in an encouraging and positive environment—all while contributing to the scientific community and bettering the lives of our customers and patients that we serve.
