I joined Blueprint Genetics in the summer of 2017 and I am a part of the small but powerful Quality Assurance team. As a Quality Engineer, I take care of the daily tasks such as preparing paperwork, making sure our documentation is up-to-date and reporting possible non-conformities. The best part about my job is that I get to work with everyone and I also get to be involved in a bit of everything, as our quality management system covers all functions in the company. Blueprint Genetics also gives me a good vantage point into the fascinating and fast-developing world of genetic testing. My background is in Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology where I got my M.Sc. (in Tech.) degree in. Before starting at Blueprint Genetics, I had mostly worked in a laboratory toying with E. Coli, human cells and their DNA. However, that has proven very useful in my current job too, as it is helpful to understand what goes on in the lab and the principles behind our production processes.
