As a Bioinformatics Software Developer, I participate in the development and maintenance of Blueprint Genetics’ in-house DNA sequencing bioinformatics data analysis pipeline. An important part of my job is rigorous testing and validation of the pipeline and composing respective regulatory documents. 

I pursued an academic path that combined life sciences and computer science: I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in computer hardware engineering with extracurricular courses in machine learning and computational neuroscience, and my Master of Science degree in Bioinformatics. In June 2019, I joined Blueprint Genetics where my professional skills have developed dramatically. We work at the cutting edge of the field while also helping individuals with significant healthcare needs, which makes me proud of the fruit of our labor.

Blueprint Genetics is a place of collaboration, where the best and the brightest in the field work together. New ideas are cradled and developed upon, and even small achievements are acknowledged. The line between the upper management and us is blurred, which makes us feel invested in the work we do and appreciated by our colleagues. In short, being part of Blueprint Genetics feels like being part of a big and happy family.
